Saunas with a shower

Anyone who has stepped out of a hot cabin directly into a stream of cold water knows that a sauna with a shower is not a convenience — it's a completely different experience. Heat opens, cold closes. The problem is that in most gardens, this second step looks the same: a wet sprint across the lawn to the bathroom, a towel on the shoulders, heat escaping along the way. An outdoor sauna with a shower solves this in one go: you warm up, cool down, and relax in the same place, a few steps from the bench. Finnish design, Scandinavian wood, Harvia heaters — and a full sauna cycle without compromise, from PLN 27,750.

Cooling down after a sauna is half the ritual

In Finnish tradition, a session doesn't end when you leave the cabin — it only then concludes. The contrast of hot and cold stimulates circulation, calms breathing, and gives that characteristic feeling of pleasant heaviness in the body, after which you sleep like after a day by the lake. Radosław "Radek" Sieraj — SAUNADO ambassador, Polish Sauna Champion (The Battle of Gladiators, Aufguss-WCF 2026) — tells his students at the Bulgarian Academy that a well-conducted ceremony without cooling is like music cut off in the middle of a bar. That's why when designing a sauna zone, it's worth thinking about water from the beginning, and not adding it a year later when it turns out that running home in November takes all the pleasure away. You can read more about the session itself in our guide to sauna bathing and rituals.

R-APPO — an outdoor sauna with a shower in one unit

R-APPO is our answer to the question of how to fit the entire ritual into a few square meters of garden. A cabin for 4–6 people with an integrated shower: you step out of the heat and after two steps, you're under the water — still under a roof, still on wood. The scent of heated spruce mixes with the cool stream, and that's exactly the moment for which you put a sauna in the garden.

R-APPO — sauna with integrated shower, from PLN 27,750

R-APPO with heater, START kit — ready for the first session, PLN 29,990

R-APPO PREMIUM — WiFi-controlled heater and full glazing, PLN 39,990

The PREMIUM version allows you to heat the cabin remotely — you come home from work, and the sauna is ready. The shower is connected with a hose or permanently to the installation; the drain can be directed to the sewage system, a soakaway, or drainage. For a typical session, water consumption is low — it's a short, refreshing cool-down, not a bath.

Does the shower at the sauna work in winter?

Yes, provided the installation is protected from frost — for the winter season, a drain valve and emptying the pipes after a session are sufficient. The contrast itself works best in winter: stepping out of a heated cabin into cold water at sub-zero temperatures is the essence of Nordic sauna bathing and excellent cold resistance training.

How does R-APPO differ from a sauna with a separate shower next to it?

Integration. In R-APPO, the cooling zone is part of the structure — you cool down under a roof, without going out into the wind and rain, and the whole thing takes up less space than two separate objects. A sauna with a freestanding shower, however, offers more freedom of arrangement and allows you to equip an existing cabin without replacing it with a new one.

Is a shower enough for cooling, or is a tub needed?

A shower is completely sufficient — it's a classic, gradual cool-down, ideal also for beginners. A cold water tub is a more intense variant for the seasoned: full immersion and stronger contrast.
